UF: Rise in Florida’s consumer confidence

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sept. 28, 2011 – Florida’s consumer confidence index rose this month to 64, up three points from a revised mark of 61 in August. However, confidence still remains low, according to the University of Florida (UF) survey.
Of the five components used by UF researchers to measure overall confidence, four edged upward. Expectations that personal finances would rise in the coming year went up five points to 78, and consumer anticipation that the U.S. economy will improve in the coming year rose by one point to 52. There was also a four-point increase to 66 in the overall expectation that the country will see economic gains during the next five years. Confidence that now is a good time to purchase retail big-ticket items, such as laptops and cars, rose six points to 74.
Blown off course

A newbie balloonist is blown off course and is forced to land. He is in a field close to a road, but has no idea where he is. He sees a car coming along the road and hails it. The driver gets out and the balloonist says, “Howdy! Can you tell me where I am?”
“Yes, of course,” says the driver. “You have just landed in your balloon, and with this wind you have obviously been blown off course. You are in the top field on John Dawson’s farm, 12 miles from Albury.
John will be plowing the field next week and sowing wheat. There is a bull in the field. It is behind you and about to attack you.”
At that moment, the bull reaches the balloonist and tosses him over the fence. Luckily, the balloonist is unhurt. He gets up, dusts himself off and says to the motorist, “I see you’re an appraiser.”
“Good grief,” says the other man, “you’re right! How did you know that?”
“I employ appraisers,” says the balloonist. “The information you gave me was detailed, precise, and accurate. Most of it was useless, and it arrived far too late to be of any help.”

It really is difficult to find real estate blogs that don’t incorporate the nofollow attribute on comments. CallChrisToday.com is genuinely a dofollow real estate blog which means I share the link juice freely. All I require is intelligent comments that demonstrate you read the post. Nonsense comments will never be accepted and neither will useless comments like, “Great post! Thanks for sharing.”
Sorry for the casual readers of my blog but I’m creating this post to attract bloggers that are searching for real estate blogs that are not nofollow. That’s why I’m rambling on and repeatedly using words like nofollow and dofollow and real estate and Realtor and blogs. So stop reading this if you’re not here for the link love!
Can I save money by using the sellers old survey? Is this wise?

There are a lot of things you can do that you probably should not do. Using an old survey may be legal and acceptable to your lender but is it wise?
I’d like to suggest that using a past survey, as opposed to ordering your own fresh survey, is a risky endeavor that you might want to think twice about. Yeah, people are doing it a lot these days. But people do all sorts of foolish things. If your neighbor jumped off a bridge….
So why shouldn’t you use the sellers past survey? They are offering it for free and last time you checked free is a wonderful price. All the seller has to do is sign an affidavit saying there haven’t been any changes to the property since the last survey was conducted and you just saved about $375.00.
